The Reducing Valve

About

“…funnelled through the reducing valve of the brain and nervous system.”

— Aldous Huxley, The Doors of Perception

The Reducing Valve is an independent publication about a single question with many disguises: when intelligence becomes abundant, who owns the filter between the world and your mind?

It is written facing forward, from small concrete things toward what they say about what comes next. No beat, no niche, no schedule: essays are published when there is something worth saying.

The publication practices what it argues. Every essay is published in a structured, machine-readable form alongside the human one, carries a cryptographic signature so its provenance can be verified by anyone, and is served to reading agents through an open API. If you’ve built a valve of your own, point it here.

The author

Barnaba Barcellona is an AI architect working on enterprise agent systems, based in Barcelona. Before that: fine arts, professional kitchens in Copenhagen, and an unreasonable number of side projects. He writes here in a personal capacity; opinions are his own and not those of any employer.

Provenance

Essays are signed at build time with the key below. Verification instructions live in the footer of every essay.
